Pilgrimage is the book for a traveling exhibition that demonstrates the art of narrative abstraction. Each painting tells a story about a specific place, told through the use of color and symbol. The abstract acrylic and mixed media paintings in Pilgrimage fall into three groups: places that evoked wonder in the artist, encounters that challenged her to face herself, and people whose courage and ingenuity she was privileged to witness.
